Who we are
Bold Ape is the storefront at theboldape.com. We sell deodorants, apparel, and accessories. The data controller for this site is the Bold Ape brand owner; you can reach us at brand@theboldape.com.
What we collect
- Order data: name, email, shipping and billing address, items purchased, total paid. Provided by you at checkout.
- Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Country selection: a `boldape_country` cookie that controls currency and shipping. Set when you confirm or change your country.
- Cart contents:stored in your browser's localStorage, never on our servers.
- Newsletter signups: email address only, kept until you unsubscribe.
Why we use it
- To process and ship your order.
- To send order confirmation, shipping, and refund emails.
- To send you newsletters if you signed up.
- To meet legal accounting and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
- Stripe for payment processing. Stripe privacy policy.
- Supabase for our order database (hosted in the EU).
- Vercel for hosting the website.
- Gmail / Google for sending email.
- Shipping carriers we use for fulfillment (your address only).
We do not sell or rent your data. We do not use ad-tracking pixels.
Your rights (EU/UK)
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Email brand@theboldape.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Retention
Order records are kept for 7 years to satisfy accounting requirements. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. The country cookie expires after 12 months.
